The CC-USB232 is a modular solution replacing your device DB9 RS-232 connector with a USB mini.  The module is completely invisible to your PC (appears as a standard port on all major operating systems).  Your device talks to a serial port just as it did before.  Removes the need for clunky cable adapters.
